SAN SALVADOR, June 30, 2008.- Canada downed USA 3-0 by score of 27-25, 25-15, 25-21 in match of Pool A in the nightcap the opening day at the U-21 NORCECA Men’s Junior Championship.

The Canadians won with an impressive defense at the net and the floor combined with an effective attack from the corners.

“It was a great match for us, but we can’t take anything for granted because the level of the competition is so high as we could see in this first day,” he added.

The best scorers for Canada were Gordon Perrin with 13 poiints and Jason DeRocco and Joren Zeeman with 12 and 10 respectively. The captain Murphy Troy had 19 in the losing cause.
